Summary Of Quran Verse 3:59

"Truly the likeness of Jesus, in God's sight, is as Adam's likeness"

In the likeness of Adam, Jesus was a man , a human being, no more, no less. So says God.

As a created being of dust, Jesus was a mortal of flesh and blood. Created not of himself, but by God. Created of matter pre-existed, in a pre-existing mould.- an embodiment with the breath of human life.

THE BIG QUESTION
What is now left to be proven , out of Verse 3:59, is not if Jesus had a physical father, but rather
who was his father?
| This was exactly the same question the Najran Deputation asked. How interesting! |
WHO WAS HIS [JESUS'] FATHER ?
| This is how they understood 3:59 there and then. At the very inception of the revelation. Surprising? No! To them as to anyone, evidently, if Jesus was created of turab, fatherhood is inevitable. The Qur'an is explicit that in the creation of man [insan] the sperm-drop proceeds from between the backbone and the ribs of the father (86:5-7). |

The F I X in which 3:59 imprisoned the Deputation.
Creation is before conception.
Creation takes place in the father.
Conception takes place in the mother.
If Jesus was created, fatherhood is inevitable.
If Jesus was conceived, motherhood is evident.
If Jesus was fatherless and motherless, then, he may have been God incarnated.
They could not presume that Jesus was God because conception and birth did occur via a woman.
They could not assume he was fatherless because how could he have been conceived and given birth to by a woman unless he was first created. And creation takes place in a father - no where else! (86:5-7) What a dilemma indeed! Hence their question: |
