(SON OF MAN) ALSO BUT THIS LATTER EPITHET HAS BEEN USED IN THE BIBLE FOR OTHER PERSONS AS WELL."

"A" -- Adam --A Perfect Man
|
The perfection of John the Baptist, as a man, has been testified to by special mention in the Qur'an as well as in the Bible. He was perfect physically, spiritually and intellectually.

"O Zachariah, We give thee glad tidings of a son whose name is John. We have not made anyone before him, his equal."

"Verily, I say unto you, among them that are born of women, there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist"

"B" -- Adam -- God's Vicegerent (Khaleefa)
|
God created ADAM as a vicegerent on Earth (2:30) made a promise ( Kalimat 2:37) to him, after Adam disobeyed God's command in the Garden, to send guidance. " Guidance from Me, whosoever follow My Guidance, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve." ( 2:38) Whoever is sent by God is the Vicegerent ( Khaleefa).
