The Bible and the Qur'an are in agreement with each other that John the Baptist as the son of Zachariah and Prophet unto the Israelite Nation, was by his genealogy, a direct offspring of Adam:

Adam's offspring is Noah Noah's " is Abraham Abraham's " is Isaac Isaac's " is Jacob Jacob's " is David David's " is Solomon Solomon's " is Ro-bo-am Ro-bo-am's " is A-bia-a A-bia-a's " is Zachariah Zachariah's " is John (Yahya)

JOHN  WAS: (a) an Israelite (b) of the House of Jacob (c) of the seed of David (d) a Prophet of the line of the Righteous (e) a direct descendent of Adam by BLOOD

"Truly Allah chose Adam and Noah, and the descendants of Abraham and the descendants of Imran above the nations, offspring one of the other. And Allah is All-Hearing, All Knowing."
