Popular Belief of the Father of Jesus
Jesus, Son of Mary and John

Below is a comparison of the current popular beliefs about the father of Jesus:

CHRISTIANS
Popular Beliefs
JEWS

Christians admit and believe Jesus has a father. To them fatherhood is a must, unquestionably so. He cannot be of fatherless birth once :

  • He was born of a woman
  • He was a mortal
  • He was a man
  • He lived on earth
  • He died

That Father was God by way of the Third Part of His Trinity, or, for the minority of Christians who do not believe in the Trinity, the Holy Spirit.

They are as solid as a rock that never rolls in their belief in the Shema

"Hear, O Israel, the Lord Thy God, the Lord is One." (Deut.6:4)

To them Jesus was a man, conceived and born of a woman. He must have a father. Not legitimately so. Proof of Mary's husband-hood being unknown. His birth is recorded as illegitimate. He is considered of no concern to them because Mary was an Imranite, not a Jew. On the same note his claim to Messiahship was rejected.

Muslims

The muslims follow the conjecture of their clergy believing that Jesus was born fatherless although there is no Qur'anic support to this belief nor sanction of it by the Holy Prophet. They are the only nation of people who cling to this belief. Imagine that! They accept Mary as the biological mother of Jesus and that he was a human in every respect but being unable to account who was for sure his father they conceded to the belief of Virgin Birth minus Trinity unconscious of the consequences. If a "Power" other than the attribute of Rah'man is the creator of Jesus, then that is blasphemy against Allah's Oneness in His Person, His Word and His Work. The faith of a Muslim in his sworn testimony of belief in the first aspect of the Kalima is at stake. Secondly Prophet Muhammad having been adamant in his belief that Jesus was of the likeness of his father in form and in appearance, the second aspect of the Kalima, attested to by Muslims, is also at stake.

QUR'AN AL-ZUKHRUF 43: 81-84

Muhammad was commanded by Allah to declare:

81. "Say if (God) by His Power of Rah'man had a son, I would be the first of the worshippers (abideen).
82. Subhanahu! Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne of Authority. He is free from that which they ascribe to Him.
83. So leave the to play and babble in vain discourse and to amuse themselves until they meet that day of theirs which they have been forewarned.
84. So leave them to play and babble in vain discourse and to amuse themselves until they meet that day of theirs which they have been forewarned.

Commentary # 2688 43: 81-84 by Bashir Mahmud Ahmad.

"Abid is active participle from Abada which means, he worshipped; and from Abida, which means, he was angry; he denied; he was sorrowful for having been remised; he was disdainful (Lane) . The verse thus means: If the Gracious God had a son, I would have been the first to worship him (the son) because, being God's most obedient and faithful servant, I would not have been remiss in my duties to him (the son). (b) If it could be possible that the Gracious God should have a son, I am most entitled to this position because I have worshipped God most and have served Him most. ( c ) The Gracious God, certainly, has no son (in, meaning not) and I am the first to bear witness to this fact, the word Abidin signifying Shahidin, i.e. witnesses. (d) The Gracious God has no son, and I am the first disdainful denier of the assertion that He has one.

Conclusion

In a nutshell

Muslims: Allah's Power impregnated Mary
Allah: Pinpoint which of My Power?
Rah'man: I cannot float outside my orbit.
Qur'an: It is kufr' to deify Virgin Birth. It is tantamount to DISBELIEF (Kufr) and Shirk (to add a partner to be worshiped besides God) to subscribe to the Virgin Birth. (- Analyze 43:81 above, carefully to see and make the connection to this statement. many translators cover the true meaning of this verse. It clearly says that he would be the first to worship him i.e. His Son (If He had such), which is not only Kufr, but also Shirk.)
Muhammad: If God's Power impregnated Mary
I would have had to worship Jesus
Summon mankind to do likewise
Muslim Clergy: Jihad against disbelievers of the Virgin Birth of Jesus.
Unbelievable!
