Jesus, Son of Mary and John

A Woman in every respect

Bible Jesus called Mary 'woman.' John 2:4; 19:26
Qur'an:
Allah also called Mary 'woman'. 5:75
'Siddiqatun' - a truthful 'woman' in every respect.' WHY?

It is considered 'rude' of Jesus by the habit of his addressing Mary in public 'woman.'

It may be considered 'rude' of Jesus by him habitually addressing Mary, his mother, in public as 'woman.'

But Allah endorsed that. For valid reason.

The primitive meaning of woman is 'wife to man.'

Bible: "And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived and bare Cain." Genesis 4:1

'And Adam said she shall be called "woman." ' Genesis 2:23

Bible: Jesus said that John was born of a woman and he was born of a woman (Matt. 11:11)

To the Point:

Since God and Jesus called Mary 'woman' and this is so scripted in the Bible and the Quran how can it be presumed that:

(a) Mary was not married?
and (b)
Allah also called Mary 'woman.' 5:75

Old Testament: 'Unto the woman, God said, in sorrow thou shall bring forth children.' Gen. 3:16 'How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?' Job 25:4

New Testament: 'But when the fullness of the time was come God sent forth his Son, made of a 'woman', made under the 'law.' Gal. 4:4 .

Quran: 'Behold the 'woman' of Imran said, O my Lord! I do vow to thee what is in my womb for Thy special service.' Qrn 3:35 (Mary's mother)

Mary: 'Behold the angels said: O Mary! Allah hath chosen thee and purified thee -chosen thee above the 'women' of all nations. Qrn 3:42

'In sorrow shall a woman bring forth.' (Gen. 3:16)

Mary: 'and the pains of childbirth erupted by the trunk of a palm tree; she cried in her anguish, Ah! would that I had died ere this! would that I had been a thing forgotten and out of sight.' 19:23

Muhammad: 'Don't you know that Jesus was conceived by a woman just as how every other woman conceives a child, then she gave birth to him just as how every other woman gives birth to a child?'

Holy Quran: 'Al-Masih, Esa, son of Mary was no more than a Messenger. Many were the Messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a 'WOMAN' in every respect (Siddiqatun). They both had to eat their daily food.' 5: 75

As a woman, Mary was a wife.

As a mother, Mary had a husband and Jesus a father!
