A Woman of Imran (Hannah / Ana)

Imra-ahtu 'Imran, A Woman of Imran (Hannah)

Microscopic look of her exact words of her request regarding Mariam:

PROTECT MARIAM AND THE OFFSPRING OF

MARIAM FROM SATAN, THE REJECTED.

Commentary #402C by Bashir Ahmad:

These words offer some difficulty. If Mary's mother intended her child to be dedicated to the service of God, she must have known that the child would remain unmarried for life. What is, then, the sense in offering prayer for the child's offspring?

Hannah's intention was for a 'grown-up' Mary to:

1. Marry
2. have a son and
3. fulfill her vow

Hannah's primary concern was the fulfillment of her 'VOW' to Allah. That cannot be accomplished in the person of Mary. But there was hope it can through Mary by her offspring. In entrusting Mary into the care of Allah's guardianship, the protection she sought for Mary was not protection against marriage but protection against her marriage to a reject of God. Why? To ensure that Mary beget a righteous son. The reason? Only a righteous son can be qualified for admission into the service of God.

Convents for Nuns (Nunnery) were unknown to Jewish Temple customs:

The belief that the 'VOW' of Hannah precluded Mary from marrying and imposed on her the obligation to live her life singly, as a nun, (in a convent) under temple restrictions, all her days are totally untrue and have no support whatsoever from the Quran nor the Jewish Testaments.

On the contrary, the intention over which precautionary steps were adopted was quite the reverse. Hannah wanted Mary to marry. Her name intentionally denotes that. And she wanted Mary to have offspring. Her concern was over Mary begetting a righteous son, a son untouched by Satan the rejected. Mary was under vow of chastity, not celibacy.

God was materializing His 'Plan of Promise' for Israel not the performance of a miracle on Mary:

If it is to be believed that the prerequisite was not the initiation of arrangement for Mary's marriage to a righteous servant of Israelite nationality, then why was an agreement entered into by and between Allah and Hannah? Why would God want to be part of a long drawn out process involving so many of His chosen ones if His decree was to be later on just simply a 'cut and dry' act of virgin birth?

God's choice of Zacharriah

Why of all persons, did Allah chose Zachariah as His agent for the 'protection of Mary and the offspring of Mary from Satan the rejected'?

Zacharriah's perplexity:

What was Zachariah's confession when the reality of his responsibility suddenly came to his awareness?

His appeal for Divine intervention:

Why his petition to Allah in his predicament? The truth will surface when we examine Mary's 'tribal' nationality against that of Zachariah.

Hannah and God

She opted for Mary's husband to be of Israelite nationality. God approved but underscored of David's line.
