Surah Mariam: Verses 4,5 & 6
Jesus, Son of Mary and John

4. "Praying: 'O my Lord! Infirm indeed are my bones and

the hair of my head doth glisten with grey; but never am I

unblest, O my Lord, in my prayer to Thee !

5. Now I fear (what) my relatives( and colleagues) (will do)

after me; but my wife is barren; so give me an heir (waliya) as from

Thyself

6. (One that) will (truly) represent me and represent the

posterity of Jacob; and make him O my Lord! One with

whom thou art well-pleased'. "

Zakariya's Petition:

My Lord grant me:

a. A waliya from Thyself
b. That he may be heir to me
c. And heir to the House of Jacob
d. One in whom Thou art well-pleased.

The demand of Zakariya's PLEA constitutes what only a miracle from God can perform. Study the key words one by one above (a) to (d). God alone knew what was on the mind of Zakariya. It may have been unbelievable to Zakariya that a son to him was possible. If God were to send a waliya from Himself for Israel's sake, how could he be heir to Zakariya too? Here is enclosed the golden key to unlock the mystery of the birth of Jesus.

Important Consideration:

It is important to keep in mind that these are the revelations of Allah. Allah says that includes in zachariah's prayer was a statement that he, Zachariah, has never been unblessed in his prayers. His prayer was for someone who would be an heir or waliya to the posterity of Jacob. Allah also mentioned in the Qur'an 4:38, that messengers were all given wives and offsprings. Hence to fulfill God's law and Zachariah's prayer, it is necessary that Zachariah have at least a child, since was a messenger. His child, John (Yahya) also must be a fulfillment of God's Lay and Zachariah's prayer for someone to inherit the posterity of Jacob. There is no frivolous information in the Qur'an. If John (Yahya) dies without an offspring, then Allah's Law and Zachariah's Prayer are all for naught.

If John (Yahya) dies without an offspring,
then Allah's Law and Zachariah's Prayer are all for naught.

Allah's Response:

"So We heard his prayer and bestowed upon him John and cured his wife

for him. They used to vie with one another in good works and called on

Us in hope and in fear and they humbled themselves before Us."

Points to note in 21:90:

Allah first bestowed John unto Zachariah, then cured his wife. Just as the case in 3:59 when Allah said he created them (Jesus and  Adam) then he said Qun faa Yakoon(be, and it is). His Law of the creation of Man is given in 86:6-7 and 96:2, coming from man himself via nutfah and Alaq.

Yusuf Ali's Com: # 380

"Zakariya prayed for no ordinary son. He and his wife were past the age of parenthood. Seeing the growth of the mystic girl Mary, he prayed for some mystic child from God, - 'from Thee a progeny that is pure,'. "

Christianity's Standpoint:

John, by birth was for sure the son of Zachariah and Elizabeth. Such was the process God adopted in conformity with the law of nature but really and truly, John, in power and in spirit was 'Elias which was for to come,.'

Scripturally:

No Elias Next Page No Messiah or closer still No John Next Page No Jesus.
