Perhaps he had adoption in his mind. Did he want to adopt Mary ?

L E F T:

Israel was in high hopes and fervent expectancy of the coming of the Promised Messiah. They knew that his advent was just days ahead. If Herod and all of his Roman Counselors knew for sure and could have pin-pointed the identical lineage, the exact locality, the 'two-years old and under age bracket' targeted, plus identification of the star that heralded Jesus' birth, how could it be believed that the Nation of Israel could have feigned doubt or ignorance of facts so glaring and evidences so positive!?

Sign	-	No Elias, no Messiah. Know Elias, know Messiah
Proof	-	A Jewish Isreaelite of Davidic descent
Mary	-	An Imranite, of the tribe of Levi. She was not a Jew.
John	-	A Jew, a direct descendant of David by blood and lineage
Jesus	-	A Jew. 'here cometh an Israelite in whom there is no guile.'
Question	-	How ? Not by the blood of his Levitical mother !

Qur'anic and Biblical evidences are unanimous on the universal admittance that Jesus was a human being in embodiment and by nature. There was nothing odd about his birth from the moment he was conceived, to childhood and unto manhood.

Overlooking the involvement of very many others, Mary and John are poised to unite the triangle at its apex in the overall Plan of Allah, in the reunification of the twelve Tribes; the bestowal, on the Nation of Israel, the Throne of David, and usher them in the promised land as their abode of peace upon their acceptance of Jesus as the Messiah in fulfillment of His Promise. We will see how.

Vital to take thought of, is that in Zachariah, Elizabeth and Mary were the blood of all the tribes. The offspring of a union of Zachariah and Mary would have excluded those that Elizabeth represented. In John, the bloc of the family of Imran were not included.

What a glorious, divine realm to access !
