031	Arabic Transliteration 31. QUL 'IN KUNTUM TUH.IBBON 'ALLAAH FA- ITTABIcO -NE YUH.BIB -KUM 'ALLAAH WA- YAGHFIR LA- -KUM DHUNOB -KUM WA- 'ALLAAH GHAFOR RAH.EM Yusuf Ali 31. Say: "If ye do love Allah follow me: Allah will love you and forgive you your sins for Allah is Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful." Pickthall 31. Say, (O Muhammad, to mankind): If ye love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. Shakir 31 . Say: If you love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your faults, and Allah is Forgiving, MercifuL Comments
032	Arabic Transliteration 32. QUL AT.EcO 'ALLAAH WA- AR- RASOL FA- 'IN TAWALLAW FA- 'INNA 'ALLAAH LAA YUH.IBB AL- KAAFIREN Yusuf Ali 32. Say: "Obey Allah and His Apostle"; but if they turn back Allah loveth not those who reject Faith. Pickthall 32. Say: Obey Allah and the messenger. But if they turn away, Lo! Allah loveth not the disbelievers (in His guidance). Shakir 32 . Say: Obey Allah and the Apostle; but if they turn back, then surely Allah does not love the unbelievers. Comments
033	Arabic Transliteration 33. 'INNA 'ALLAAH IS.T.AFAA 'AADAM WA- NOH.(AN) WA- 'AAL 'IBRAAHEM WA- 'AAL cIMRAAN cALAA AL- cAALAMEN Yusuf Ali 33. Allah did choose Adam and Noah the family of Abraham and the family of Imran above all people. Pickthall 33. Lo! Allah preferred Adam and Noah and the Family of Abraham and the Family of 'Imran above (all His) creatures. Shakir 33 . Surely Allah chose Adam and Nuh and the descendants of Ibrahim and the descendants of Imran above the nations. Comments
034	Arabic Transliteration 34. DHURREYAH BAcD. -HAA MIN BAcD. WA- 'ALLAAH SAMEc cALEM Yusuf Ali 34. Offspring one of the other; and Allah heareth and knoweth all things. Pickthall 34. They were descendants one of another. Allah is Hearer, Knower. Shakir 34 . Offspring one of the other; and Allah is Hearing, Knowing. Comments
035	Arabic Transliteration 35. 'IDH QAALAT IMRA'AH cIMRAAN RABB -I 'INNI -Y NADHARTU LA- -KA MAA FE BAT.N -E MUH.ARRAR(AN) FA- TAQABBAL MIN -NE 'INNA -KA 'ANTA AS- SAMEc AL- cALEM Yusuf Ali 35. Behold! a woman of Imran said: "O my Lord! I do dedicate unto thee what is in my womb for Thy special service so accept this of me for Thou hearest and knowest all things." Pickthall 35. (Remember) when the wife of Imran said: My Lord I have vowed unto Thee that which is in my belly as a consecrated (offering). Accept it from me. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Hearer, the Knower! Shakir 35 . When a woman of Imran said: My Lord! surely I vow to Thee what is in my womb, to be devoted (to Thy service); accept therefore from me, surely Thou art the Hearing, the Knowing. Comments Herein lies the intention that facilitated the comming of the Messiah. An obscure woman dedicating what is in her womb, for the service of Allah.
036	Arabic Transliteration 36. FA- LAMMAA WAD.AcAT -HAA QAALAT RABB -I 'INNI -Y WAD.AcTU -HAA 'UNTHAA WA- 'ALLAAH AcLAM BI- MAA WAD.AcAT WA- LAYSA ADH- DHAKAR KA- AL- 'UNTHAA WA- 'INNI -Y SAMMAYTU -HAA MARYAM WA- 'INNI -Y UcEDH -HAA BI- -KA WA- DHURREYAH -HAA MIN ASH- SHAYT.AAN AR- RAJEM Yusuf Ali 36. When she was delivered she said: "O my Lord! behold! I am delivered of a female child!" And Allah knew best what she brought forth "and nowise is the male like the female. I have named her Mary and I commend her and her offspring to Thy protection from the Evil One the Rejected." Pickthall 36. And when she was delivered she said: My Lord! Lo! I am delivered of a female. Allah knew best of what she was delivered. the male is not as the female; and Lo! I have named her Mary, and Lo! I crave Thy protection for her and for her offspring from Satan the outcast. Shakir 36 . So when she brought forth, she said: My Lord! Surely I have brought it forth a female-- and Allah knew best what she brought forth-- and the male is not like the female, and I have named it Marium, and I commend her and her offspring into Thy protection from the accursed Shaitan. Comments This woman (Hannah/ Anna), was dissapointed in having a female, the female is not like the male. Allah could not change what she had already conceived in her whom. Hence Mary was born, dedicated to the service of God with a reruest that Allah protect her and her offspring from Shaiyaan.
037	Arabic Transliteration 37. FA- TAQABBALA -HAA RABB -HAA BI- QABOL H.ASAN WA- ANBATA -HAA NABAAT(AN) H.ASAN(AN) WA- KAFFALA -HAA ZAKAREYAA KULLA-MAA DAKHALA cALAY -HAA ZAKAREYAA AL- MIH.RAAB WAJADA cINDA -HAA RIZQ(AN) QAALA YAA MARYAM 'ANNAA LA- -KI HAADHAA QAALAT HUWA MIN cINDI 'ALLAAH 'INNA 'ALLAAH YARZUQ MAN YASHAA' BI- GHAYR H.ISAAB Yusuf Ali 37. Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in purity and beauty; to the care of Zakariya was she assigned. Every time that he entered (her) chamber to see her he found her supplied with sustenance. He said: "O Mary! whence (comes) this to you?" She said: "From Allah: for Allah provides sustenance to whom He pleases without measure." Pickthall 37. And her Lord accepted her with full acceptance and vouchsafed to her a goodly growth; and made Zachariah her guardian. Whenever Zachariah went into the sanctuary where she was, he found that she had food. He said: O Mary! Whence cometh unto thee this (food)? She answered: It is from Allah. Allah giveth without stint to whom He will. Shakir 37 . So her Lord accepted her with a good acceptance and made her grow up a good growing, and gave her into the charge of Zakariya; whenever Zakariya entered the sanctuary to (see) her, he found with her food. He said: O Marium! whence comes this to you? She said: It is from Allah. Surely Allah gives to whom He pleases without measure. Comments
038	Arabic Transliteration 38. HUNAALIKA DAcAA ZAKAREYAA RABB -HU QAALA RABB -I HAB LI- -Y MIN LADUN -KA DHURREYAH T.AYYIBAH 'INNA -KA SAMEc AD- DUcAA' Yusuf Ali 38. There did Zakariya pray to his Lord saying: "O my Lord! grant unto me from Thee a progeny that is pure; for Thou art He that heareth prayer!" Pickthall 38. Then Zachariah prayed unto his Lord and said: My Lord! Bestow upon me of Thy bounty goodly offspring. Lo! Thou an the Hearer of Prayer. Shakir 38 . There did Zakariya pray to his Lord; he said: My Lord! grant me from Thee good offspring; surely Thou art the Hearer of prayer. Comments Note: Zachariah's prayer is preserved and mentioned in 3:38, he prayed for MIN LADUN -KA DHURREYAH T.AYYIBAH (from Thee a progeny that is pure. 19:5, he prayed for MIN LADUN -KA WALEY(AN) (give me an heir as from Thyself). (Note: the word waley means to be near, or close to, like a friend is close) 21:89, he prayed LAA TADHAR -NE FARD(AN) (leave me not without offspring).The word farad means alone, by itself, solitary.
039	Arabic Transliteration 39. FA- NAADAT -HU AL- MALAA'IKAH WA- HUWA QAA'IM YUS.ALLE FE AL- MIH.RAAB 'ANNA 'ALLAAH YUBASHSHIR -KA BI- YAH.YAA MUS.ADDIQ(AN) BI- KALIMAH MIN 'ALLAAH WA- SAYYID(AN) WA- H.AS.OR(AN) WA- NABEY(AN) MIN AS.- S.AALIH.EN Yusuf Ali 39. While he was standing in prayer in the chamber the angels called unto him: "Allah doth give thee glad tidings of Yahya witnessing the truth of a Word from Allah and (be besides) noble chaste and a Prophet of the (goodly) company of the righteous." Pickthall 39. And the angels called to him as he stood praying in the sanctuary: Allah giveth thee glad tidings of (a son whose name is) John, (who cometh) to confirm a word from Allah, lordly, chaste, a Prophet of the righteous. Shakir 39 . Then the angels called to him as he stood praying in the sanctuary: That Allah gives you the good news of Yahya verifying a Word from Allah, and honorable and chaste and a prophet from among the good ones. Comments Note here that Allah granted John: 1. Musaadiqan Bi Kalimah 2. Noble, Chaste 3. A Nabey and 4. Saaliheen
040	Arabic Transliteration 40. QAALA RABB -I 'ANNAA YAKON LI- -Y GHULAAM WA- QAD BALAGHA -NE AL- KIBAR WA- IMRA'AH -E cAAQIR QAALA KA- DHAALIKA 'ALLAAH YAFcAL MAA YASHAA' Yusuf Ali 40. He said: "O my Lord! how shall I have a son seeing I am very old and my wife is barren?" "Thus" was the answer "doth Allah accomplish what He willeth." Pickthall 40. He said: My Lord! How can I have a son when age hath overtaken me already and my wife is barren? (The angel) answered: So (it will be). Allah doeth what He will. Shakir 40 . He said: My Lord! when shall there be a son (born) to me, and old age has already come upon me, and my wife is barren? He said: even thus does Allah what He pleases. Comments
041	Arabic Transliteration 41. QAALA RABB -I IJcAL LI- -Y 'AAYAH QAALA 'AAYAH -KA 'AN LAA TUKALLIM AN- NAAS THALAATHAH AYYAAM 'ILLAA RAMZ(AN) WA- UDHKUR RABB -KA KATHER(AN) WA- SABBIH. BI- AL- cASHEY WA- AL- IBKAAR Yusuf Ali 41. He said: "O my Lord! give me a sign!" "Thy Sign" was the answer "shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three days but with signals. Then celebrate the praises of thy Lord again and again and glorify Him in the evening and in the morning." Pickthall 41. He said: My Lord! Appoint a token for me. (The angel) said: The token unto thee (shall be) that thou shalt not speak unto mankind three days except by signs. Remember thy Lord much, and praise (Him) in the early hours of night and morning. Shakir 41 . He said: My Lord! appoint a sign for me. Said He: Your sign is that you should not speak to men for three days except by signs; and remember your Lord much and glorify Him in the evening and the morning. Comments
042	Arabic Transliteration 42. WA- 'IDH QAALAT AL- MALAA'IKAH YAA MARYAM 'INNA 'ALLAAH IS.T.AFAA -KI WA- T.AHHARA -KI WA- IS.T.AFAA -KI cALAA NISAA' AL- cAALAMEN Yusuf Ali 42. Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah hath chosen thee and purified thee; chosen thee above the women of all nations. Pickthall 42. And when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah hath chosen thee and made thee pure, and hath preferred thee above (all) the women of creation. Shakir 42 . And when the angels said: O Marium! surely Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of of the world. Comments
043	Arabic Transliteration 43. YAA MARYAM UQNUTE LI- RABB -KI WA- USJUDE WA- IRKAcE MAcA AR- RAAKIcEN Yusuf Ali 43. "O Mary! worship thy Lord devoutly; prostrate thyself and bow down (in prayer) with those who bow down." Pickthall 43. O Mary! Be obedient to thy Lord, prostrate thyself and bow with those who bow (in worship). Shakir 43 . O Marium! keep to obedience to your Lord and humble yourself, and bow down with those who bow. Comments
044	Arabic Transliteration 44. DHAALIKA MIN ANBAA' AL- GHAYB NOH.E -HI 'ILAY -KA WA- MAA KUNTA LADAY -HIM 'IDH YULQON AQLAAM -HUM 'AYY -HUM YAKFUL MARYAM WA- MAA KUNTA LADAY -HIM 'IDH YAKHTAS.IMON Yusuf Ali 44. This is part of the tidings of the things unseen which We reveal unto thee (O Apostle!) by inspiration; thou wast not with them when they cast lots with arrows as to which of them should be charged with the care of Mary; nor wast thou with them when they disputed (the point). Pickthall 44. This is of the tidings of things hidden. We reveal it unto thee (Mohammad). Thou wast not present with them when they threw their pens (to know) which of them should be the guardian of Mary, nor wast thou present with them when they quarrelled (thereupon). Shakir 44 . This is of the announcements relating to the unseen which We reveal to you; and you were not with them when they cast their pens (to decide) which of them should have Marium in his charge, and you were not with them when they contended one with another. 'IDH QAALAT AL- MALAA'IKAH YAA MARYAM 'INNA 'ALLAAH YUBASHSHIR -KA BI- KALIMAH MIN -HU ISM -HU AL- MASEH. cESAA IBN MARYAM WAJEH(AN) FE AD- DUNYAA WA- AL- 'AAKHIRAH WA- MIN AL- MUQARRABEN Yusuf Ali 45. Behold! the angels said "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus the son of Mary held in honor in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah. Pickthall 45. (And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from Him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah). Shakir 45 . When the angels said: O Marium, surely Allah gives you good news with a Word from Him (of one) whose name is the '. Messiah, Isa son of Marium, worthy of regard in this world and the hereafter and of those who are made near (to Allah). Comments
